Does anyone know how difficult it is to locate a loader to fit a 650? Do only JD loaders fit, or is there another mfr? Also, what is the value of a 650 with no attachments - turf tires, < 250 hrs?

I looked at a couple of 650's before I bought my 750. The price I see for most of the 650's around here with no implements would be in the $5000 range, give or take for actual age, # of hours, and condition. JD's hold their value well. ....

I've got a JD 650 with a Bush Hog 1840 QT front loader. They still list a model1846 with specs that look the same as mine (www.opico.com, under Bush Hog). It'sa well-built unit that hooks and unhooks in about 10 minutes and has it's ownstand built-in to hold it upright while off the tractor. Look up their websiteand hit "For more information on this product" on the spec page and you can sendthem an e-mail to ask about your specific application. ....

Several companies sell a loader for this tractor. Most are better than theoriginal equipment. Some of the companies will even match your paint. Expecta loader to cost in the 3000 range. The 650 with low hours and no attachments will go for around 5000 if inaverage condition to 6000 if it is exceptionally well kept. A power steering option was available for this tractor and seems to add about 500 to the price. BTW, the add-on power steering is still available for this tractor fromJohn Deere as a complete kit for around 800 to 1000 bucks....I just checked lastweek. Roger L ....
